Kit Harington is the new face of Jimmy Choo.
The Game of Thrones actor will promote the famous shoe company’s new men’s line. This will include footwear, bags and a new sunglasses range, which is being created alongside Carrera.
Alongside this, Harington will front a campaign for the label’s first male fragrance, called Jimmy Choo Man.
“I was very excited to be chosen as the face for such a highly regarded brand and to play a role in defining who the Jimmy Choo man is,” the actor said in a statement.
The scent will hit stores in September, which is when the accompanying campaign will likely be unveiled.
The label’s creative director Sandra Choi is delighted to have the 27-year-old star on board.
“Kit perfectly embodies the Jimmy Choo man,” she explained. “He has a natural and alluring masculinity and an effortless sense of style. His cool attitude and smouldering sensuality belie a true British gentleman.”
Harington is best known for his portrayal of Jon Snow, one of the main characters in fantasy TV adaptation Game of Thrones. The character demands that he be fit and healthy, so he works out regularly.
Unfortunately he also likes having fun, which caused problems before he started shooting one of the series.
“It is a physically demanding role, so I have to keep really fit,” he told Radio Times magazine.
“When I have a couple of months off, I’ll use that time to go off to the gym, although, just before filming began this season, I broke my ankle climbing up through my bedroom window trying to get my keys. Yes, I was drunk.”
